The Carpe Diem String Quartet, Ohio Wesleyan University's new faculty ensemble in residence, will present its inaugural quartet series recital at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21. The concert will be in Sanborn Hall's Jemison Auditorium, 23 Elizabeth St.

Violinists Charles Wetherbee and John Ewing, violist Korine Fujiwara and cellist Diego Fainguersch comprise the quartet, which is dedicated to music education and outreach. Innovative programs, thematic concerts, cameras and video to support the visual presentation and speaking from the stage to better engage the audience are among Carpe Diem's efforts to change the way chamber music is experienced.

The concert is free and open to the public.
