Starting on Jan. 7, the Delaware General Health District will provide a Neighborhood Health Center clinic every month at the Woodward Family Resource Center at Woodward Elementary School, 200 S. Washington St.

The clinic will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month.

The Woodward Neighborhood Health Center will replace the clinic previously conducted every other month at Londontown Apartments.

The health district also plans a flu immunization clinic for families at Woodward on Monday, Dec. 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

At Neighborhood Health Centers, health district nurses provide free or low-cost screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol. Nurses also offer health risk assessments, body-mass index checks, adult immunizations, and medication and nutrition counseling. Child immunizations are provided by appointment. Information is provided on breast and testicular self-examinations and prostate cancer.

Neighborhood Health Centers are offered monthly or bimonthly at 13 locations across Delaware County. For a complete schedule, visit www.delawarehealth.org.
