Cooking course slated for those with diabetes
"Dining with Diabetes," a three-session cooking course to assist people with diabetes and other
chronic illnesses, will be held this month.
The sessions will be staged by the Delaware County OSU Extension Program, the Delaware General Health District, Willow Brook Christian Village and Healthy Ohio.
Session times will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 23, 25, and 27 at the Centrum at Willow Brook, 100 Willow Brook Way, Delaware.
Each participant must send a $30 fee by Feb. 16 to OSU Extension Dining with Diabetes at 149 N. Sandusky St., Delaware OH 43015.
The program will include diabetic food preparations, cooking demonstrations and taste tests. Demonstrations will focus on preparing well-balanced healthy meals using less fat, salt and sugar. Each class will include a three-course meal and recipes.
