The Friends of the Delaware County District Library will hold an art sale from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6 for Friends only; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 for the general public.

The Friends of the Delaware County District Library will hold an art sale from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 6 for Friends only; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 for the general public.

Framed prints that were previously part of the library's circulating collection will be sold, priced according to size and condition.

The sale will be held at the main library, 84 E. Winter St. Selected prints are on display for preview.

Nomination forms for the Delaware County chapter of the American Red Cross' Heroes Breakfast are available at www.delco-redcross.org.

Eight people who either live or work in Delaware County will be recognized in the following categories: public safety hero, senior adult hero, work place hero, military hero, education hero, health care hero, community hero, and youth hero.

A panel of civic volunteers and community leaders select the heroes.

Judges look for the following criteria:

One who risks his own life to save another's.

One who is completely selfless when working with or for others.

One whose life and actions are an inspiration to others.

One whose actions go above and beyond expectations when helping others in difficult times.

Nominations will be accepted until Oct. 19. The heroes breakfast is held in November.
