Shadi Bartsch, Ph.D., a professor of classics at Brown University, will speak at Ohio Wesleyan University at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, March 30.

Bartsch's lecture will be in room 005 of Sturges Hall, 85 S. Sandusky St.

Bartsch, who earned her bachelor's degree at Princeton University and both her master's degree in Latin and her doctoral degree in classics from the University of California-Berkeley, has written four monographs in classics as well as four co-edited essay collections.

The program is free and open to the public.

The deadline for filing 2008 city of Delaware income tax returns is Wednesday, April 15.

The Delaware City Income Tax Department office will stay open until 7 p.m. on April 13, 14 and 15. The tax office also will be open additional hours on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Filing is required even if no tax is due. If filing assistance is needed, taxpayers should bring W-2s and federal schedules necessary to complete their forms to the city tax office in City Hall, 1 S. Sandusky St. Enter through the south entrance. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
