Preservation Parks of Delaware County has announced a new concert series at Gallant Woods Preserve.

The steel drum duo Deighton Charlemagne will play from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 9. A St. Lucia native, Charlemagne began his musical career at Ohio University with his reggae band "Identity."

The Celtic group "Lone Raven" will take the stage on Sunday, July 26. The Delaware-based band, led by Troy Township resident Craig Markley, will perform both traditional and original music from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Finally, the central Ohio 16-piece big band, "Swing's the Thing," will perform classic swing tunes as well as more contemporary songs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.

Gallant Woods is at 2151 Buttermilk Hill Road. Admission and parking are free.

Patrons should bring chairs or blankets as well as picnics or snacks. Alcohol is not permitted.
