Breast cancer support group, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 28. Monthly group is facilitated by a social worker and a registered nurse. Art therapy is also available. Free. Preparing for Labor and Delivery, 3 to 6 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 3, 10, 17 and 24 and 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25. A Family Birthplace nurse will teach expectant parents breathing and relaxation techniques to help make labor and delivery more comfortable. Four-week series takes place in the Grady Medical Office Building. Cost is $65 for the expectant mother and her support person. Tae Kwon Do, 10:30 a.m. to noon, six-week series beginning Saturday, Jan. 2. Black-belt instructors will teach practical self-defense techniques to students age 11 and older. Cost is $45 for the series. Kid Kwon Do, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., six-week series beginning Saturday, Jan. 2. Black-belt instructors will teach practical techniques for personal safety to students ages 6 to 10. Cost is $45 for the series. Tai Chi, 6 to 9 p.m., six-week series beginning Tuesday, Jan. 5. Students age 12 and older will learn graceful, low movements that strengthen and relax both body and mind. Cost is $45 for the series. American Sign Language, 1 to 3 p.m., six-week series beginning Sunday, Jan. 10. Instructor with master's degree in deaf education will teach introductory class for students age 12 and older. Cost is $50 per person for the series. Fibromyalgia free monthly support group, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 11, in Suite 3 of the Medical Office Building. Individuals with fibromyalgia, family, friends and the medical community are encouraged to attend. Living Well with Diabetes, 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 11, 12 and 13. Individuals with diabetes, family members and other interested people may participate in the sessions, which cover nutrition, glucose monitoring, hyper and hypoglycemia and medication. The series is free but pre-registration is necessary.
