Daily curbside yard waste collections will resume in the city of Delaware on regularly scheduled refuse collection days, beginning Monday, April 5. Items for collection should be placed at curbside before to 7 a.m. on residents' normal weekly collection day.

Daily curbside yard waste collections will resume in the city of Delaware on regularly scheduled refuse collection days, beginning Monday, April 5. Items for collection should be placed at curbside before to 7 a.m. on residents' normal weekly collection day.

All yard waste must be contained in biodegradable lawn and leaf bags, a clearly identified yard waste container or in bundles no bigger than four feet long and 18 inches in diameter.

All bags, cans or bundles must weigh less than 50 pounds.

The second annual "Pinwheels & Pancakes" breakfast in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month will be held from 8:30 a.m to 1 p.m. April 17 in the Woodward Elementary School gymnasium.

There is no charge for the event, which will also feature free games for children and adults. Prizes will be awarded.
