People In Need Inc. of Delaware County's "CANpaign" is under way. The annual collection of nonperishable foods and other items will continue through May 15.
Businesses, churches, civic organizations, individuals and families are encouraged to hold food drives to collect items needed in the PIN pantry. After a collection, call PIN at (740) 363-6284, extension 102, to schedule a time to deliver the items.
Items most needed in PIN's pantry are bar soap; dish soap; canned food including fruit, fruit juices, pasta and vegetables; coffee (both instant and perked); tea bags; jams and jellies; peanut butter; cereal (cooked and dry); cooking oil; dry milk; graham crackers and saltine crackers; Jell-O; macaroni and cheese; frosting mixes; cake mixes; canned meats and fish; noodles and macaroni; spaghetti sauce; boxed instant potatoes; pancake and muffin mixes; hot chocolate mixes; soups; syrup; pudding; sugar; boxed dinners; napkins; toilet paper; Kleenex; toothbrushes and toothpaste; diapers (medium and large); feminine hygiene products; laundry detergent; and shaving cream.

The Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce, the city of Delaware and TechColumbus will host a networking mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20.
The free event will be held at Brookshire, 405 Greif Parkway in Delaware.
Local entrepreneurs, city and county officials, economic development professionals and business advisers are encouraged to attend, to network with others in the community and learn about resources available in the area and through the TechColumbus TechStart program.
TechStart, led by Tech Columbus and supported financially by Ohio's Third Frontier program and 18 local partners, provides early stage funding and mentoring assistance to entrepreneurs throughout 15 Ohio counties. Representatives will offer information on program offerings, applicant eligibility, available funds and schedules.
