A"Scarlet & Gray Soiree" on Thursday, Sept. 9 will be the 12th annual fundraiser hosted by the Committee to Save Senior Services in Delaware County.

A"Scarlet & Gray Soiree" on Thursday, Sept. 9 will be the 12th annual fundraiser hosted by the Committee to Save Senior Services in Delaware County.

The event will run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Brookshire, 405 Greif Parkway.

Live and silent auctions will be held, with prizes including a signed football by OSU's Archie Griffin, a hot air balloon ride for four and a signed basketball by Thad Matta. Several former OSU football players are expected to attend. Guests also will enjoy music, games and a tasting of wines from various vineyards.

Tickets to the event cost $30 per person and may be purchased in person or by mail at the Center for Older Adults office, 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware. They may be purchased online at www.growingolder.org or at the door. For more information, call (740) 363-6677.

The event is presented by Manos, Martin, Pergram & Dietz Co., LPA. Other supporters include Grady Memorial Hospital/OhioHealth, SERVPRO of Delaware, Heritage Day Health Centers, Knights of Pythias, Lenape Lodge No. 29, OhioHealth HomeReach, Simply EZ Home Delivered Meals, the Laurels of Worthington and Rodman Neeper Funeral Home.

Proceeds from the event will provide funding for levy campaigns that enable in-home services for older adults in Delaware County. These services include home-delivered meals, personal care, adult day care, prescription assistance programs and transportation.
