Main Street Delaware's Sept. 2 First Friday celebration will have a "World's Fair" theme. Attendees are invited to dress in clothing that represents their cultural heritage.

Included in the celebration will be a kick-off to the Delaware County Fair, which will run from Sept. 17 through 24, and the Sept. 22 Little Brown Jug harness race.

Other Sept. 2 events include "In the Name of Love a U2charist for Haiti" fundraiser set for 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 45 W. Winter St., and the opening of the exhibition "Drawings, Doodles and Sketches" at City Art Center, 22 E. Winter St. The nonprofit art center will accept submissions to be included in the community exhibition until Aug. 29. Learn more at www.cityartcenter.org/exhibits.html.

The Oct. 7 First Friday celebration will include a sale of fall harvest items.
