• Cancer survivors and their families are invited to join a Cancer Support Group. The group provides information, education and emotional support in a warm, positive atmosphere. Call Vicki Maggard at (740) 615-2402.

• The Breast Cancer Yoga Support Group meets every other Wednesday. The next two meetings are from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5 and 19. Kit Spahr is the facilitator. To register or for more information call (740) 615-2403.

• Sunbury Diabetes Peer Support Group will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10 in Room 7 at the Sunbury United Methodist Church, 100 W. Cherry St., Sunbury.

• Fibromyalgia support group, 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, Suite 2 of medical office building.

• 15-minute seated massage, 3:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12. Therapist Julie Clinger will ease tense shoulders and necks. Cost is $12 per person; appointments are required.

• “Once a Month Cooking” class, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18. A facilitator will explain how to spend one day cooking and freezing meals for the entire month. The fee is $25 per person and includes book.

• “Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD),” 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19. Chiropractor Dr. Mike Nagel will discuss the mood changes and depressive symptoms caused by seasonal change, who is at risk and ways you can prevent it from occurring. Free.

• Breast Cancer Support Group meets the fourth Monday of each month. The next meeting is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24.

• Yoga,for adults of all fitness levels. Two sessions begin on Monday, Oct. 24. Level 1 runs from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.; Level 2 runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $45 for 8-week series.

• Tai Chi, for ages 12 and up, in all health conditions. Introduction Class is held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays for those with no tai chi experience; then from 7:39 to 9 p.m. the beginners class is held for those wishing to learn all 108 tai chi movements. Cost is $45 for six-week series.

• Adult ADHD (The Invisible Disorder), 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26. Grady department of psychology head Dr. Terry Imar, will discuss signs and symptoms of adult ADHD, treatment options, living with the condition, and other information. Free.

• Tae Kwon Do, for those age 11 and up. Class is 10:30 a.m. to noon beginning Saturday, Oct. 29. Cost is $45 for six-week session.

• Kid Kwon Do, for children ages 6-10. Class is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. beginning Saturday, Oct. 29. Cost is $45 for six-week series.

• Pilates, for adults of all fitness levels, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursdays beginning Nov. 3. Cost is $45 for six-week session.

• Living Well with Diabetes, for people with diabetes, families and others. Two-day series covers nutrition, glucose monitoring, hyper and hypoglycemia, meal planning and medications. Program runs from 2 to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 14 and 15.

• Transitions program for girls in fourth, fifth and sixth grades and their mothers helps girls face puberty issues positively.Next program is 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. Cost is $18 for mother and one daughter; $20 for mother and two daughters.
