Man lands in hospital after three-on-one assault

Delaware

A man reported he was assaulted by three unknown men in the area of South Liberty and West Harrison streets at 12:39 a.m. July 1. According to Delaware police reports, the victim was treated at Grady Memorial Hospital.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for aggravated burglary and violation of a protection order in the first block of West Heffner Street at 10:42 p.m. July 1, according to reports.

An unidentified subject was observed looking into and entering vehicles in the 600 block of Belleview Court at 6:11 a.m. July 1. No property was reported stolen from the vehicles.

An unknown man stole two cases of beer from a store in the 100 block of East William Street at 12:24 p.m. July 1, according to reports.

A 56-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication at 2:40 p.m. June 30 in the 200 block of South Washington Street. Reports said the woman was belligerent and threatened to commit suicide. She was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

A woman reported she was struck in the face by two known women at 3:02 a.m. June 30 in the first block of Troy Road.

A resident of the 600 block of Lismore Drive reported June 29 he had applied for a loan through a company and remitted $3,695, but the company will not refund his money or return his inquiries.

During a traffic stop at 10:34 p.m. June 28 in the first block of South Sandusky Street, police detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana, reports said. During questioning, the occupants in the vehicle said they were smoking marijuana prior to being stopped and were in possession of marijuana, according to reports.

A 60-year-old intoxicated man was arrested after he was found lying in the street in the area of London Road and Liberty Street at 11:50 p.m. June 26. The man told police he fell down and smacked the back of his head while he was intoxicated. He was arrested and taken to the hospital for treatment.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for obstructing official business and resisting arrest and an 18-year-old man was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct after they reportedly attempted criminal damaging in the 500 block of East Lincoln Street at 6:28 p.m. June 26.

Sunbury

A 22-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and having an open container of alcohol in his car at 2:31 a.m. June 5 in the area of state Route 3 and Sunbury Meadows. Sunbury police reports said the man failed a field sobriety test and told police he drank from a flask while driving.
