Sandusky Street resident loses jewelry to thief

Jewelry worth about $9,600 was stolen between July 1 and Sept. 26 from a residence in the 200 block of South Sandusky Street, according to Delaware police reports.

The victim contacted police Sept. 26 after he noticed the jewelry had been taken from his home by an unknown person, according to reports.

Five 40-pound propane tanks were stolen between 9 a.m. Sept. 12 and 11 a.m. Sept. 21 from a business in the 600 block of Liberty Road, police said.

The tanks are worth about $750, police said.

Police responded to reports of a burglary that took place about 10:56 p.m. Sept. 26 at a residence in the first block of Maple Street.

At the time of the report, police had identified two juvenile suspects, according to reports.

A Delaware man said his wallet and TV were stolen between 7:50 and 8:10 p.m. Sept. 24 from his residence in the 100 block of Columbus Avenue.

A 23-year-old Delaware man was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 26 outside of a business in the 1700 block of Columbus Pike after he stole a video-game console and a game, police said.

A 16-year-old Delaware girl was arrested and charged with theft after she was caught stealing merchandise worth $304 at 7:06 p.m. Sept. 26 from a business in the 900 block of Sunbury Road, police said.

A bicycle worth $500 was stolen between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Sept. 25 from a bike rack near the first block of East Winter Street, police said.

A Delaware man reported someone broke out his screen door between 2:30 and 3:07 p.m. Sept. 20 at his residence in the 100 block of Toledo Street.

Damages were estimated at $300.

Sheriff's reports

A truck sustained about $2,000 in damage between 8 p.m. Sept. 11 and 9 a.m. Sept. 12 while it was parked in the 3000 block of U.S. Route 23 in Delaware, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.

An unknown suspect damaged the truck's chrome stacks, bed and tailpipe during the night, reports said.

Power tools worth about $1,500 were stolen between July 28 and Sept. 1 from a residence in the 13000 block of North Old 3C Highway in Sunbury, reports said.

The victim reported someone broke in and stole a chain saw, band saw and impact driver.
