Delaware police reports


A Delaware man reported he was assaulted by a group of juveniles at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 9 near the corner of Noble Street and London Road.

The victim told Delaware police he was attacked by multiple unknown suspects, who knocked him off his bike and kicked and punched him while he lay on the ground.

A trailer containing $19,500 in landscaping equipment was stolen between 5 p.m. Oct. 6 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 8 from a parking lot in the 300 block of West Central Avenue, police said.

Stolen items include two hedge trimmers, an edger, a push mower, a riding mower, hand tools, weed trimmers, a leaf blower, shovels, rakes, trash cans and hoses.

Property worth $900 was stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Oct. 3 from a residence in the first block of Belle Avenue, police said.

An unknown person entered the residence and took a video-game console and two gold necklaces, according to reports.

Hand tools worth $200 were stolen between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 7 from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Silver Maple Drive.

Police responded to a report that multiple unlocked vehicles were entered, with property stolen, between 10:30 p.m. and midnight Oct. 9 while they were parked outside of a residence in the first block of Lake Street.

An unknown suspect shattered a window of one of the vehicles to gain entry, reports said.

Stolen items include five bottles of prescription medication, clothing, a set of keys and a duffel bag, police said.

A Delaware resident said a refrigerator was stolen from one of her rental properties between 7 p.m. Oct. 8 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 10 in the first block of Richards Drive.

Two DVD players and $22 in cash were stolen between 10:15 a.m. Oct. 4 and 9:15 a.m. Oct. 5 from a vehicle parked near the first block of Sheldon Street, reports said.

Sheriff's reports

Jewelry worth $2,000 was stolen between March 1 and Sept. 23 from a residence in the 1800 block of Alexander Road in Galena, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.

Stolen items include a diamond ring, a gold band, a gold necklace and gold earrings.

Electronics worth $900 were stolen between noon Sept. 15 and midnight Oct. 3 from a residence in the 8500 block of Cheshire Road in Sunbury, reports said.

Stolen items include a tablet computer, video games and an MP3 player.

A gold bracelet worth $350 was stolen between 2:30 and 5:45 p.m. Oct. 1 from a residence in the 5100 block of South Lake Hill Road in Delaware, according to reports.

The victim said someone forced entry into his residence and took the item, with damages to a wooden door estimated at $350.


Sunbury police recovered a stolen truck around 8 p.m. Oct. 1 after it was found parked in a lot near the 200 block of Millpond Road, according to reports.

A Sunbury resident reported her truck was stolen Sept. 25 while it was parked outside her home in the 1200 block of state Route 37 East.

The truck was found parked in a lot with no one around, police reports said.
