Wedding band worth $4,500 stolen from home

A gold men's wedding band with an inset diamond, worth $4,500, was stolen between 1:50 and 3:50 p.m. Dec. 23 from a residence in the 8800 block of Kilbourne Road in Sunbury, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.

Tools worth $1,385 were stolen between 6 p.m. Dec. 21 and 12:28 p.m. Dec. 23 from a residence in the 3500 block of Royal Dornoch Circle in Delaware, reports said.

The thief forced entry and stole a bag containing a jigsaw, a circular saw and a drill, plus various wrenches, screwdrivers and hammers, according to reports.

Property worth $555 was stolen between 3:45 and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 22 from a car parked near the 600 block of state Route 61 in Sunbury, the sheriff's office said.

The victim reported someone smashed a window to gain entry, with damage estimated at $250, and took a designer purse and wallet.

Two TVs, together worth $425, were stolen between 9 a.m. and 12:04 p.m. Dec. 23 from a residence in the 1200 block of Hanover Road in Delaware, according to reports.

The victim reported someone broke down a door to gain entry, with damage estimated at $200, and took the property.

A laptop computer worth $315 was stolen between 10 p.m. Dec. 21 and 9:25 a.m. Dec. 22 from a car parked in the 300 block of Ironhorse Drive in Delaware, reports said.

A calculator worth $100 was stolen between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 from a car parked in the 500 block of South Old 3C Highway in Sunbury, according to reports.

A 53-year-old woman from Ashley was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 2 after she was caught shoplifting at a business in the 1700 block of Columbus Pike, Delaware police said.

Two residents of the 100 block of Downing Street reported their vehicles were entered and items were stolen between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 27 and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 28.

Stolen items include a designer purse, a wallet, a checkbook, multiple credit cards and an MP3 player, police said.

Bolt cutters and a jack were stolen between midnight Dec. 22 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 25 from a residence in the first block of North Liberty Street, police said.

The victim reported someone broke in through a basement door and took the items.

A Delaware man reported his laptop computer, worth $800, was stolen between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 1 from his unlocked vehicle, parked in the first block of Williams Drive.
