Shots fired in Delaware; suspect faces charges

A Delaware police officer responded to a report of shots fired at 7:02 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 200 block of Seatrain Drive, police said.

A suspect has been identified and charges are pending, according to reports.

A 20-year old Delaware woman was arrested between 5 and 5:29 p.m. Feb. 11 after she was caught shoplifting at a business in the 1300 block of Sunbury Road, police said.

It later was discovered that a juvenile who accompanied her also had shoplifted items from the store, according to reports.

A charge of theft was submitted to the Delaware County Juvenile Court against the juvenile, reports said.

A Delaware woman reported her car was stolen between 8 p.m. Feb. 8 and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9 from where it was parked in the 600 block of Fern Drive.

Property worth $700 was stolen between 10:15 p.m. Feb. 8 and 7:45 a.m. Feb. 9 from a car parked in the 200 block of Silver Maple Drive, police said.

A business owner reported someone destroyed a portion of a fence at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 8 outside a business in the 200 block of South Sandusky Street.

A Delaware woman said someone punctured all four tires on her vehicle between 7 and 11:05 a.m. Feb. 11 while it was parked in the first block of Moore Street.

A Delaware man reported someone stole his vehicle between 12:26 a.m. Feb. 7 and 2:30 p.m. Feb. 11 from where it was parked in front of his residence in the first block of South Washington Street.

A chain saw was stolen between 3:45 and 4:20 p.m. Feb. 11 from the back of a pickup truck parked in the first block of West Winter Street, reports said.

A Delaware man said someone damaged a fence in his yard between 5 p.m. Feb. 12 and 8 a.m. Feb. 13 in the 200 block of South Sandusky Street.

Sheriff's reports

Property worth $2,200 was stolen between 7:45 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 8 from a residence in the 7300 block of Lott Road in Sunbury, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.

The victim reported someone broke in and stole medication, a video-game console and multiple games.

Power tools worth $845 were stolen between 10:15 p.m. Jan. 28 and 9:47 a.m. Jan. 29 from a vehicle parked in the 7300 block of state Route 37 in Sunbury, the sheriff's office said.

Stolen items include a hammer, drills, a wire-wrap gun and various screwdrivers and wrenches, according to reports.

A video-game console worth $200 was stolen at 1:38 a.m. Feb. 10 from a residence in the 1300 block of Hanover Road in Delaware, the sheriff's office said.

The thief forced open a door to gain entry to the residence, with damages estimated at $100, according to reports.

A Sunbury woman said someone stole a pair of headphones and an MP3 player, together worth $80, between 4:25 and 5:56 p.m. Feb. 3 from her vehicle, parked in the 7600 block of state Route 37.
