Truck, tools, more stolen from Sunbury street

Multiple thefts were reported between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3 from vehicles parked along state Route 37 in Sunbury, according to Delaware County Sheriff's reports.

In the first theft, power tools worth $845 were stolen between 10:15 p.m. Jan. 28 and 9:47 a.m. Jan. 29 from a vehicle parked in the 7300 block of state Route 37, reports said.

The victim reported someone broke into his truck and stole a hammer drill, a wire wrap gun and various screwdrivers and wrenches.

In the second theft, a Sunbury man reported someone stole his truck between 9 p.m. Feb. 2 and noon Feb. 3 from where it was parked outside his residence in the 13000 block of Route 37.

The truck contained tools worth $450, according to reports.

The third theft involved an MP3 player and headphones, together worth $80, stolen between 4:25 and 5:56 p.m. Feb. 3 from a car parked in the 7600 block of Route 37 in Sunbury, reports said.

Property worth $4,650 was stolen between 6 a.m. Feb. 13 and 10:05 p.m. Feb. 14 from a residence in the 4900 block of Highlands Drive in Delaware, the sheriff's office said.

The victim reported someone broke in and stole two electric generators and a nail gun.

Property worth $452 was stolen between 9 and 11:48 a.m. Feb. 14 from a vehicle parked outside a residence in the 2400 block of Meadowshire Road in Galena, reports said.

The thief stole a backpack, calculator, purse and wallet, according to reports.

Property worth $386 was stolen between 9 p.m. Feb. 17 and 9 a.m. Feb. 18 from a residence in the 3800 block of Horseshoe Road in Delaware, sheriff's reports said.

A thief broke in and stole a flashlight, gift cards and $250 in cash, reports said.

A Galena man reported a burglary took place between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 5:43 a.m. Feb. 14 at his residence in the 2300 block of Meadowshire Road in Galena.

A thief entered the residence and stole cash, a checkbook and several credit cards, according to reports.

Delaware

A Delaware man reported someone stole $300 in cash and prescription medicine between 5 p.m. Feb. 16 and 10 a.m. Feb. 17 from his camper while it was parked in the first block of East Central Avenue.

The victim told Delaware police someone broke into the vehicle while he was in jail and stole a lockbox that held the items.

Tools worth $638 were stolen between 5 p.m. Feb. 15 and 7:15 a.m. Feb. 18 from a residence in the first block of Noble Street, police said.

A watercolor painting was stolen between Jan. 17 and Feb. 10 from a business in the first block of North Sandusky Street, according to reports.

A burglary was reported to have taken place between 4:30 and 9 p.m. Feb. 15 at a residence in the first block of Wilder Street, police said.

Someone entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole the contents of a wallet, including $250 in cash, police said.

Property worth $125 was stolen between 2:30 and 7:33 p.m. Feb. 18 from a vehicle parked outside a residence in the 200 block of Muirwood Village Drive, police said.

About $100 in cash was stolen between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and 9:05 p.m. Feb. 17 from a car parked outside a residence in the first block of Winter Pine Drive, reports said.
