Candidates Night set in Harlem Township

The Harlem Township Civic Association will host a Candidates Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the township hall's community room. The event will follow a brief business meeting.

Candidates for the Big Walnut school board and for township trustee positions will speak and answer questions. Candidates for two municipal judge seats and for municipal court clerk are unopposed. Also on the ballot will be proposed electric and natural gas aggregation service agreements.

The township hall is at 3883 state Route 605.

The Harlem Township Civic Association invites all township residents to the community potluck picnic and hayride from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the John Beltz Retreat Center, 4834 Harlem Road, Galena. Charcoal grills, table service, lemonade, coffee and water will be provided. Dave Martin will entertain.
