Photography equipment stolen
Delaware police reports show $4,579 worth of cameras and other photography equipment recently were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Springer Woods Boulevard.
Between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 16, reports said, someone broke the vehicle's window to steal the items. A GPS unit and makeup also were reported stolen.
In other recent Delaware police reports:
* A compound bow and hunting gear were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Oct. 15 and 7 p.m. Oct. 16 in the 300 block of Orchard Canyon.
* The basement door of a house in the 100 block of North Washington Street was the point of entry for a thief who stole a video-game console and games between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 22, reports said.
* A metal handrail leading up the sidewalk to a business in the 600 block of West Central Avenue was reported stolen Oct. 18. Reports said the theft, which caused an estimated $400 in damage, occurred after business hours.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office was busy Oct. 8 investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins on Hyatts and South Section Line roads.
Reports show various items, together worth more than $1,300, were stolen from unlocked vehicles parked there between midnight and about 6 a.m.
Thieves also broke one locked vehicle's passenger-side window to steal a purse in the 5000 block of Hyatts Road. Another vehicle in the same driveway was missing an e-reader, reports said.
Other items stolen from vehicles in the 3000 and 4000 block of Hyatts Road include change, a light meter and a portable stereo.
From the 5000 and 6000 blocks of South Section Line Road, stereo equipment and a wallet were reported stolen.
