Twin concerts feature Christmas melodies

The Central Ohio Symphony will present its annual holiday concerts at 2 and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 15, in Gray Chapel on the Ohio Wesleyan University campus.

The orchestra, under the direction of conductor Jaime Morales-Matos, will perform two identical concerts of seasonal music.

The concerts will mark the return of Columbus singer Dwight Lenox as well as award-winning pianist and arranger Bradley Sowash as guests.

Featured songs include Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Leroy Anderson's A Christmas Festival and the Blue Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss. In addition, Sowash has arranged several of his holiday big-band pieces for the symphony.

Tickets are available at the Symphony Source office, 24 E. Winter St.; Beehive Books, 25 N. Sandusky St.; and Buehler's Fresh Foods. Cost is $25, $20 for seniors, $6 for students, $4 for children 6 and younger.
