Register for these upcoming programs:

* Bluebird Box Workshops, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 and Wednesday, Feb. 26. Promote wildlife in your yard with bluebird nesting boxes. Cost is $5 per box. Deer Haven Preserve, 4183 Liberty Road. Register by Feb. 13. Space is limited.

* Preschool Park Pals: Whooo Hoots? 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Feb. 20. Children ages 4-5 will learn all about owls during this hands-on program. Deer Haven Preserve, 4183 Liberty Road. Register by Feb. 13.

No registration is necessary to attend these programs:

* Lights, Camera, Pose! noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2. Learn how photography advanced in the early 20th century, put on period clothing and use your camera to take some photos! Then enjoy the farm, including cookies in the wood-burning stove. All ages; Gallant Farm Preserve, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road.

* Fireside Chats, noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9. Listen to some recorded fireside chats, used by President Franklin Roosevelt to bolster the confidence of Americans during the Great Depression and World War II. Then test your knowledge about American presidents and first ladies. Free; all ages. Gallant Farm Preserve, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road.

* Love the Scaly and Slimy! 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9. The Ohio Herpetological Society will bring a number of species of reptiles and amphibians, so visitors can learn why they should love and protect these creatures. Free; ages 5 and up. Deer Haven Preserve, 4183 Liberty Road.
