"Hand," by Olentangy High School student Doha Hussein, is among the student-created works on display at the Arts Castle through Feb. 26.

The annual Juried High School Art Exhibit will be on display through Feb. 26 at the Arts Castle, 190 W. Winter St.

The exhibit features two- and three-dimensional art in eight categories, created by students from Delaware Hayes, Big Walnut, Buckeye Valley, Olentangy, Olentangy Liberty and Olentangy Orange high schools, Village Academy, Delaware Christian School and the Delaware Arts Academy.

The gallery is free and open to the public. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

The Arts Castle also will partner with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to present "Zoo Views: Art and Artifacts" from March 10 through April 19.

The curated exhibit will feature art from the collections of zoo volunteers, staff and directors -- including Director Emeritus Jack Hanna -- focusing on Africa and the Arctic.

In addition to tribal artifacts such as masks, walking sticks, quilts and other handmade fabrics, a variety of paintings, sculptures, drawings and photographs will be on display. Art created by the animals themselves also will be represented.

The Arts Castle's spring schedule will be available Feb. 28 at its website, artscastle.org.
