OWU student stabbed; suspect faces charges

A Delaware man faces felonious assault and attempted murder charges after he allegedly stabbed an Ohio Wesleyan University senior last weekend.

Delaware police arrested Nicholas Corey Lee Eber, 23, of Delaware early afternoon Thursday, May 8, according to a news release from the Delaware Police Department. Police allege Eber entered the Chi Phi fraternity house, 216 N. Franklin St., in the early-morning hours of May 3 and stabbed the student.

The victim was flown by medical helicopter to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for treatment shortly after the attack. He was released from the hospital later that weekend.

Delaware police allege witness statements and physical evidence recovered at the scene of the crime tied Eber to the stabbing.

As of Friday morning, May 9, Eber was at the Delaware County jail awaiting arraignment.
