Delaware: Men face charges after burglaries

Delaware police made three arrests following two break-ins that occurred in two days late last month.

In the first incident, a woman reported a burglary after she discovered the rear window of her residence in the 100 block of London Road had been forced open between 6:45 and 7 p.m. May 21. Police arrived shortly before 7 p.m. and discovered two men on the property, according to police reports.

Police arrested Christopher B. Jarrett, 22, and Jacob M. Pyles, 21, both High Street residents, at the scene, reports said. Both men face charges of burglary, a third-degree felony, according to police reports.

In the second incident, a woman reported someone entered her unlocked garage in the first block of Columbus Avenue between 3:45 and 4:45 p.m. May 22. The woman said a man had entered multiple structures in the area and had stolen items.

After police arrived on scene, they arrested Hollie J. Hardman, 37, who is homeless, according to police reports. Hardman faces charges of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor, reports said.

In other recent Delaware police reports:

* A man reportedly was the victim of a robbery shortly after midnight May 24 in the 200 block of South Washington Street. The man was robbed of his wallet, which contained $214 cash and a credit card, according to police reports.

The case is open pending further investigation, reports said.

* A woman reported she was raped between midnight and 6:30 a.m. May 25 at a residence on the city's northwest side. The case is open and under investigation, according to police reports.
