Center plans Big Wheel race

Grown-up kids who once rode Big Wheels with their friends are invited to ride again at Delaware Speech and Hearing Center's first Delaware Big Wheel Relay Race.

Registration is underway now for the race, to be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in the parking lot of Ohio Wesleyan University's Selby Stadium on Henry Street.

Teams of four will ride in the single elimination relay-style race. Bikes will be provided by the center. Team names and costumes are encouraged.

The cost per team is $160 and includes T-shirts. A free fun race for children will be included in the day's events, along with corn hole, other activities and refreshments.

Proceeds from the event will help to purchase clinical equipment for the center's speech and audiology departments, including a peripheral eye tracker that enhances computer accessibility for users with limited motor skills.

No race day registration will be offered. For more information or to register, visit delawareshc.org or Delaware Speech & Hearing Center on Facebook or call Judy at 740-369-3650.
