* The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission recently announced the retirement of Regional Data and Mapping Director Nancy Reger, a Delaware resident.

* The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission recently announced the retirement of Regional Data and Mapping Director Nancy Reger, a Delaware resident.

With the company for more than 30 years, Reger developed land-use forecasts for regional projects, planned transportation facilities and public infrastructure projects in central Ohio, oversaw the creation of its first online interactive transportation map and helped create a multijurisdictional shared system for editing encoded geographical information.

Reger plans to volunteer in the field of horticulture, travel, spend time with her grandchild and complete a fictional novel during retirement.

* John Buckles of Galena recently was named to Otterbein University's Alumni Council.

Buckles is a former Otterbein professor, now serving as connection pastor at Heritage Christian Church in Westerville.

The council's mission is to build and maintain relationships that engage university alumni and to expand the Otterbein experience.
