* Homeschool Adventures: Frosty Flight, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at Emily Traphagen Park, 5094 Seldom Seen Road. Swoop into the woods for an evening owl foray. Warm up by the fire while learning about owl adaptations, then venture into the woods to search for birds of prey. Free; ages 6-12, accompanied by an adult.

* Sausage Making, 10 a.m. Jan. 14 at Gallant Farm, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road, Delaware. Help make sausages using an antique sausage stuffer, then cook them on the wood-burning stove to eat with eggs. All ages.

* School's Out Adventures: Mammal Mayhem, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 16 at Deer Haven Park, 4183 Liberty Road, Delaware. Search for wild animal tracks, examine their skulls and bones and meet live animals from the Ohio Wildlife Center. Ages 8-9. Registration deadline is Jan. 9. Cost is $30.

* Nest Boxes in Your Backyard, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at Deer Haven Park. Local conservationists will demonstrate how to attract cavity-nesting birds to backyards and take care of the nests. All ages. Register by Jan. 10.

* Make it, Take it: Terrarium, 1 p.m. Jan. 29 at Deer Haven Park. Learn how to create a successful terrarium. Ages 7 and older. Register by Jan. 22. Cost is $20.
