Amanda Kilanowski, daughter of Drs. David and Jill Kilanowski of Dublin, and Jay Compton, son of Stanford and Cynthia Compton of South Haven, Mich., have announced their engagement.

Amanda Kilanowski, daughter of Drs. David and Jill Kilanowski of Dublin, and Jay Compton, son of Stanford and Cynthia Compton of South Haven, Mich., have announced their engagement.

The couple has set a July 5 wedding in South Haven, Mich.

The bride-to-be graduated from Dublin Coffman High School in 2002 and from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College in 2006. She is a graduate student at Ohio State University.

The future groom graduated from South Haven High School in 1999 and from Michigan State University's Eli Broad School of Business in 2004. He was commissioned as an officer in the Navy in January 2005 and is a lieutenant junior grade, assigned to the Defense Department Contracting Program in Columbus.

Richard and Alice Pryor of Delaware, along with Donald and Brenda Schmoeger of Dublin, and Gary and Elaine MacLaughlin of Blasdell, N.Y., have announced the engagement of their children, Heather and David.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School and Ohio University, where she received her degree in elementary education. She is employed as an elementary school teacher in the Marysville school district.

The future groom is a graduate of Frontier High School and Gannon University, where he received his degree in marketing. He also is a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy in Orlando, Fla. He is employed as a golf professional at a country club in Westerville.

An October wedding is planned.
