More than 250 area business professionals attended the 24th annual Dublin Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic and the NextGen Dublin 9-Hole Challenge on July 17 at the Golf Club of Dublin.

More than 250 area business professionals attended the 24th annual Dublin Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic and the NextGen Dublin 9-Hole Challenge on July 17 at the Golf Club of Dublin.

The sold-out event included golf, networking, a silent auction to benefit the Dublin Chamber Civic Foundation and other features.

The NextGen Dublin 9-Hole Challenge kicked off at 8 a.m. and was followed by a lunch buffet and an awards ceremony. The 2008 NextGen Dublin Challenge champions were Matthew Freiburger of Steelle Investment Council Ltd.; Adam Ellison of Kinsale Golf & Fitness Club; and Justin Doran and Bill Bostelman of Fahey Banking Co.

Team Kinsale won the 24th annual Golf Classic held in the afternoon. Team members were Regan Koivisto, Adam Ellison, Mark Paluszak and Doug Mullet. Ferris, Baker Watts Inc. took second place.

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce President's Party followed the outing as Anne Gleine, owner of Ha'penny Bridge Imports of Ireland, was recognized for her year as chamber board president.

Nearly 300 businesses donated door prizes, volunteered their time or contributed to the golf outing.
