Dublin Scioto senior Wil Applegate recently helped the Fellowship of Christian Athletes National High School lacrosse team defeat the Ontario Edge All-Star team in Toronto from Aug. 8-10. The FCA team is comprised of lacrosse players from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and Maryland. FCA won the three games. Applegate started at long-stick midfielder.

The Dublin Jerome High School Swim and Dive Boosters will hold an informational meeting and picnic for new and returning swimmers, divers and parents from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Coffman Park Pavillion. Parents and new swimmers and divers will have the opportunity to learn about the season and activities as well as meet the head coaches. Parents and students should come prepared to pay booster and pay-to-play fees. Team apparel order forms will be available. Davidson junior Clay Davis recently competed in the 15- 16-year-old division of the Columbus Municipal Junior Tour Series held at Turnberry and Champion golf courses. Davis was second in the event, which helped him finish second overall in the series.

The 10th LynnFund Golf Classic will be Sept. 17 at Foxfire. The event will be a shotgun start with men's, women's and mixed scramble teams. There will be a silent auction. All proceeds from the tournament will go to the "Use Your Brain" campaign to give away bike helmets in the shape of a brain to children and adults in the state of Ohio.
