A Hatha yoga class for adults of all experience levels will meet Tuesdays from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Sept. 30 through Nov. 11 (no class Nov. 4) or Thursdays from 5 to 6 p.m. Oct. 2 through Nov. 6 at the community center. Cost for the six-week session is $60 for township residents; $65 for non-residents.

The township's annual two-day Homestead Harvest will be held in Homestead Park from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11-12. Hay wagon rides, kids' tattoos, games, food, pony rides and a scarecrow-making contest are featured. Some activities have a fee.

Red Cross baby-sitting will be offered for ages 11-15 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the community center. The course teaches basic child-care, first aid, rescue breathing, accident prevention, youth development and supervision skills. Bring a sack lunch and drink. Cost is $40 for township residents; $45 for non-residents. Deadline is Oct. 18.

Darby Dash, the Plain City Four Mile Run/Walk, will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Pastime Park.

The course will take runners and walkers through the uptown business district,

Pastime Park and the surrounding neighborhoods of Plain City. A post-race award ceremony and community celebration will begin immediately following the race.

Volunteers are needed to assist from 7:30 a.m. to noon on race day. Volunteers will assist with setup, cleanup, registration, refreshments, water stations and traffic control.

Monetary sponsorships and prizes are also being accepted.

Race day registration is $25, and will open at 7 a.m. Participants may register online at www.columbusrunning.com.
