Dublin was one of several municipalities on the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's intended project list for stimulus funds. The list was released last week.

The city requested $850,000 for sanitary sewer lining that will be done in 2010. According to the list, the Ohio EPA could grant Dublin $425,000 for the project, along with the same amount from the EPA's water pollution control loan fund. The EPA's loan program provides cities with low-interest loan assistance.

According to the Ohio EPA's Web site, Dublin's request was one of more the 2,100 proposals submitted for $220.6-million in stimulus funds. The EPA also will make $730-million in low-interest loans available.

Melissa Fazekas, deputy director of communications for the Ohio EPA, said the intended project list is subject to a two-week public comment period and will be submitted to the U.S. EPA for final approval.
