Families are invited to a campout at the Homestead beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 19. Bring a tent, sleeping bags and flashlights. The department will provide the campfire, s'mores, fishing poles and bait. Families should bring their own dinner and breakfast. The cost is $15 for township residents and $20 for non-residents. Register by June 12.

Children ages 5 and older can learn about, explore and touch the trucks, tractors and train at the Homestead from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 9. Tour the restored caboose and 1951 John Deere tractor and make a craft to take home. Cost is $7.50 for township residents and $12.50 for non-residents. Register by July 2.

Red Cross baby-sitting certification will be offered this summer. The class meets from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 8. Class is open to ages 11 to 15. Cost is $45 for township residents and $50 for non-residents. Register by June 1.

Children ages 4 to 6 are invited to Kooky Calendar camp. We will go on an Easter egg hunt, trick-or-treat in Halloween costumes, have a Valentine's Day party and celebrate July 4. Camp will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 29-July 2. The cost is $30 for township residents and $35 for non-residents. Register by June 22.

A Play Safe Day will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, at Homestead Park. Free.

A cheerleading camp for children ages 6 to 8 will meet from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday and Friday, Aug. 5 and 7. Basic motions, chants and jumps are all part of this energetic, loud and wild cheerleading camp. Cost is $12 for residents and $17 for non-residents. Register by July 29.
