Pollinator Display, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. View a display about the animals that pollinate flowers.

Nature Kids: Down to Earth Animals, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Monday at the Nature Center. Discover animals that call dirt home.

Preschoolers: Get Buggy, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Catch and release bugs in the Pet Trail field.

Gourmet Campfire, 6 p.m. Saturday at the Cherry Ridge Program Area. Sing old songs around the campfire while good food cooks over the fire. Bring seating.

It's Easy Being Green, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Learn about the energy-saving measures Metro Parks has taken and how to become "green" in your home.

Glacier Ridge Metro Park

Amphibian Night Hike, 8 p.m. Thursday at the Honda Wetlands Education Area. Discover frogs and toads in this walk around the wetlands. Bring a flashlight.

Highbanks Metro Park

Nature Photography Festival, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Nature Center. Enjoy a day of workshops and photo trips throughout the park.

Salamander Search, 2 p.m. Sunday at the Nature Center. Search the ravine for these amphibians on a 2.5-mile hike.

Campfire Sing-Along, 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Oak Coves Picnic Area. Toast marshmallows and share songs around the fire. Bring seating and food to roast.

Summer Children's Program: Biomes, 10 a.m. Friday at the Program Area. Ages 12 and younger are invited to explore areas in North America with similar climates, plants and animals.

Evening Garden Walk, 7 p.m. Sunday at the garden entrance. Take a guided stroll through the gardens.

Summer Children's Program: Heredity, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tuesday or 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Program Area. Ages 12 and younger can learn how specific traits in humans and plants are passed on from generation to generation.

Late Night Fishing, 8 p.m.-midnight Saturday at Darby Bend Lakes, 2755 Amity Road, Hilliard. The park will stay open for late night fishing.

Firefly Frenzy, 9 p.m. Friday at the Schrock Lake west bulletin board. Take a one-mile walk and learn about fireflies and how to attract them.

Nocturnal Noises, 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Apple Ridge Picnic Shelter. Take a tram ride and listen and look for animals along the way.

Preschoolers: Growing Things Tram Ride, 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Apple Ridge Picnic Shelter. Ride the tram and learn about plants, then make a craft .

Lunchtime Chat: History Tour, noon Thursday, July 2, at the Apple Ridge Picnic Shelter. Learn about the park's history on a tram tour.

Three Creeks Park

3860 Bixby Road, Groveport

Three Creeks Fest, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Confluence Trails bulletin board. Celebrate recreation and watersheds during this annual family fun day event. Environmental exhibits and activities, bike safety checks, games, canoeing and live animals are all planned.
