The Dublin Irish Festival was honored last week with 10 Haas and Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards from the International Festival and Events Association.

The Dublin Irish Festival was honored last week with 10 Haas and Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards from the International Festival and Events Association.

The awards, which drew nearly 1,500 entries, are judged on promotion and media initiative criteria such as creativity, design, clarity of message and measurable results.

The Irish festival earned gold awards for Best Radio Promotion: Move Your Feet! and Best Sponsor: Wendy's.

Silver awards include: Best Local Television Program: Dublin Irish Festival Unwrapped; Best Radio Promotion: Mr. O'Casey's Irish Caber Class; Best Ad series: Puff Daddy, Fiddle Stix and Beat Box; Best Invitation: Round Up; and Best New Promotion: Dublin Irish Festival Stout.

Bronze awards were: Best Television Promotion: Labored Caber Toss; Best Individual Sponsor Program: Old Bag of Nails; and Best Other Merchandise: Little Pot O'Gold Onsie.
