Brandy Alexander of Dublin will participate in the Ashland University Study Abroad program by traveling to Germany this summer.

Brandy Alexander of Dublin will participate in the Ashland University Study Abroad program by traveling to Germany this summer.

She is the daughter of Kenneth and Debby Alexander and is majoring in theater and life science.

Students enrolled in this program spend a week at AU in preparation for their trip and then travel abroad, spending three weeks in eastern Germany with fellow AU students and professors.

Ashland University has announced the names of students who have completed degree requirements as of May 2010.

From Dublin, they include Laura Knape, master of education degree; and Pamela Priest, master of education degree.

Jamie Turner, a senior at Bishop Ready High School, has received a Faculty Award scholarship to attend the Columbus College of Art & Design.

The merit scholarship was awarded as the result of an art portfolio competition, which was judged by a team of CCAD faculty members.

Turner will begin her studies this fall, and plans to major in photography.

She is the daughter of Don and Tammy Turner of Dublin.
