The Dublin Jerome High School football team wrapped up second place in the OCC-Cardinal Division with a 43-22 win over host Westerville Central on Friday.

The Celtics finished 6-4 overall and 5-2 in the division, one game behind champion Westerville South (6-1).

Central finished 2-8 and 2-5.

"It's great to win, but I'm disappointed with how sloppy we played," Jerome coach Mark Hundley said. "We did not play Celt football for 48 minutes tonight. I'd say we played it for 33 minutes, but not for all 48. I'm kind of disappointed in that, but I'm definitely happy to get the win."

Jerome jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead.

The brother tandem of junior Cam Wilson and sophomore Donovan Wilson fueled the Celtics' attack.

Donovan Wilson, who rushed for 233 yards on 25 carries, had touchdown runs of 3, 6 and 19 yards. Cam Wilson caught touchdown passes of 5, 11 and 61 yards from senior quarterback Ryan Gannon.

Gannon completed 11 of 25 passes for 266 yards with three touchdowns. He threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Cam Wilson on Jerome's first possession and Donovan Wilson scored on a 3-yard run for a 14-0 lead after one quarter.

Donovan Wilson had a 19-yard touchdown run and Gannon hit Cam Wilson for an 11-yard touchdown late in the first half.

The game featured a pair of spread offenses, as the teams combined for 1,112 yards.

Central senior quarterback Spencer Allen was 14 of 33 passing for 320 yards, two touchdowns (39, 68) and four interceptions.

Josh Walburg led Jerome's defense with two interceptions.

"We didn't give up," Central coach John Magistro said. "We did some things well. Spencer threw a couple nice balls and we made some nice catches. The biggest thing was our offensive line. They protected very well. That was a young group and I'm real proud of those guys."
