Disrespect and lack of consideration for others was exhibited by about 30 people (about 15 adults and 15 children) who refused to stay behind the spectator barriers at the crosswalk next to Starbucks in Old Dublin during the St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 12.

These individuals refused to listen to parade volunteers and Dublin police officers and were out into the parade route as far as the center line, blocking the view of others and encroaching on the path of parade participants.

These individuals apparently thought themselves above the rules the other spectators felt obligated to follow to make the event enjoyable for all.

Are people this self-centered and what in the world are they teaching their children? What do you say to the children who are watching this behavior from behind the barriers where they are supposed to be?
