The Dublin Board of Education decided May 25 that the district ask to voters in November for a new operating levy.

A levy amount hasn't been determined, though.

Collections for the levy wouldn't begin until the beginning of 2013, treasurer Stephen Osborne said, keeping a promise made to voters in 2008.

The school board will begin discussions on the appropriate millage to seek.

Superintendent David Axner said the district would continue making cuts to keep millage low.

According to Osborne, the district will have to decide on a millage amount in July and have the issue filed with the Franklin County Board of Elections in early August.
