Police investigate report man tried to lure children into car
Dublin Police are investigating an incident after two children reported a man asked them to get in his car Sept. 9 near the Post Preserve Boulevard and Stillhouse Lane traffic circle.
At 12:59 p.m. Sept. 9, two children were approached by a white male in a newer model black, four-door sedan with tinted windows.
After the man asked them to enter his vehicle, the children told police they fled, according to information from the Dublin Police Department.
The man might have had a small dog in the vehicle, public information officer Megan Canavan said.
The vehicle had an out-of-state license plate that might have been blue.
The vehicle was last seen driving north on Post Preserve Boulevard.
Canavan cautioned children and parents.
"Be vigilant and, of course, be watchful of your surroundings," she said.
"If you have any information please contact the police department and we have the 614-889-1112 number for that," Canavan said.
"If you have any information or see any suspicious activity, we encourage you to contact the police department."
