The Dublin City Schools Alumni Association has one inductee for its May event, but is looking for more.
The alumni association plans to induct Capt. Nick Rozanski to its Hall of Fame at a May 4, 2013 celebration at the Columbus Marriott Northwest on Blazer Parkway.
The event will be held in conjunction with a Dublin 50-year class reunion.
Rozanski, a Dublin resident and graduate of the school district, was killed in the line of duty 4 April 2012, while serving in Afghanistan with the 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment of the 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
"Each year, the selection committee presents a group of people who have represented themselves and our district very well," district Superintendent David Axner said in a news release.
The alumni association has inducted more than 50 people to its Hall of Fame and is seeking more to honor with Rozanski this spring in the fifth year of the program.
The Hall of Fame seeks to honor outstand achievements among alumni and non-graduates who have made significant contributions to the district.
Alumni considered for the Hall of Fame must be leaders in their profession, be involved in the community, have a distinguished military career, given their lives in the line of military duty or demonstrated unique talents and accomplishments in their career.
All alumni nominees must have graduated from Dublin City Schools at least five years ago.
Non-graduate nominees must have positive involvement in the district over several years or served the district as an employee for at least 20 years.
Nominations for the Hall of Fame must be completed by Jan. 31, 2013.
Nomination forms are at the central office, 7030 Coffman Road, and are available online at dublinschools.net/alumniassociation_home.aspx.
