The Dublin A.M. Rotary club recently heard a report about a Sept. 30 honor flight.
The program, in its fourth year and sponsored by the Dublin A.M. Rotary, flew five veterans to Manassas, Va., via private plane to visit U.S. military monuments in Washington, D.C.
The veterans, this year shuttled by Dublin A.M. Rotary pilots John Miller and Phil Yoder, included veterans of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
On this year's trip were Army veterans Jack Frambiss and Pat Monohan, both of Shawnee Hills; Navy veterans Earl Burden, Shawnee Hills, and Thomas Goebel, Cleveland; and Marine Corps veteran Frank Kirk of Columbus.
During the trip, the group visited the World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Air Force Memorial, Pentagon 9/11 Memorial and Arlington Cemetery.
The club plans another trip to Washington, D.C., in late September or October 2013.
