Police continue search for missing man

Dublin Police continued this week to search for a man that went missing from a Dublin apartment complex Dec. 11.

Siva Kumar Singh-Gadwal, 57, left on foot an apartment complex near Perimeter and Post roads the afternoon of Dec. 11 while visiting family and has not been seen since.

Police said Singh-Gadwal is 5-feet, 2-inches tall, weighs about 130 pounds and was wearing a black sweater, blue pants, black turban and glasses. He has a white beard and moustache.

Megan Canavan, Dublin public information officer told the Dublin Villager Monday, Dec. 17, that police have searched for the man by air, in ponds and with the assistance of canine units, but have found nothing yet.

An iPhone and case were reported stolen by a Scioto High School student who was lifting weights at the school between 3:15 and 4:15 p.m. Dec. 7.

According to reports, the iPhone was stolen from a pants pocket in the locker room.

A purse was reported stolen from an office in the 7200 block of Sawmill Road between 12:40 and 1:40 p.m. Dec. 8.

The purse held credit cards, keys, an iPhone and several other items, police reports said.

Shoplifting was reported at a business in the 7600 block of Sawmill Road when an employee noticed several cases of energy drinks were missing.

When security tapes were reviewed, employees saw a man leaving the story with a cart containing about $555 in energy drinks at about 4:31 p.m. without paying.

A laptop, briefcase, checks and $250 was reported stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in the 6600 block of Dublin Center Drive between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Nov. 28.

According to police reports, a hole was punched in the door to get into the truck.

A car was reported stolen from Interstate 270 around mile marker 19 between 5 p.m. Dec. 8 and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 11.

The vehicle stopped running on the interstate and when the owner returned with a tow truck it was gone, police reports said.

Lip balm was reported missing from a business in the 7600 block of Sawmill Road between 4:50 and 4:51 p.m. Dec. 13 after a juvenile removed it from its packaging and tried to leave the store without paying.

The window of a vehicle parked in the 8700 block of Muirfield Drive was reported broken between 12:25 and 12:31 p.m. Dec. 14.

A purse and its contents were stolen from the vehicle, police reports said.
