Wagner city's new human resources director

Dublin has a new human resources director.

Tim Wagner will take the chief position of the human resources department from Dave Harding, who retired after nearly 27 years in Dublin.

Wagner will be paid $106,000 annually and will be offered the same high-deductible health insurance plan other employees have access to.

Wagner previously was deputy director of human tesources for Ohio Job and Family Services for about a year and worked as vice president of human resources at Columbus State Community College from 2000 to 2012.

"Tim brings a wealth of human resources experience from the public sector," Dublin City Manager Marsha Grigsby said in a news release from the city.

"His experience with professional staff development and customer service align with city council's goals as well as our strategic focus areas."

As human resources director, Wagner will be a member of the city manager's senior management team and provide services to 369 full-time city staff as well as 750 part-time workers.

Wagner received his master's degree in labor and human resources from Ohio State University and his bachelor's degree in political science and Afro-American studies from Ohio University.

Wagner is a member of the Columbus Area Labor-Management Association and the Pickerington Personnel Appeals Board, information from the city said.
