Metro Data Center a key player in consortium increasing bandwidth
Metro Data Center will serve as a Point of Presence in the Ohio Academic Resources Network's quest to increase its bandwidth by 10 times.
The Ohio Academic Resources Network is a member of the Ohio Board of Regents Ohio Technology Consortium and received $13 million from the state to increase its 1,850-miles broadband network that is used by educational, public broadcasting, health care and government entities.
The move is expected to advance research and job growth across Ohio's medical research, higher education, manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors.
By locating a point of presence at Metro Data Center, 565 Metro Place South, organizations within the Ohio Academic Resources Network will have access to the Dublin facility's network.
