Gold jewelry, computers stolen from house

Five gold chains, four pairs of gold earrings, eight gold bangle bracelets, two laptops, two iPads and other items were reported stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Heather Bluff Drive between 4:30 and 5:35 p.m. Jan. 11.

A glass door at the back of the house was broken to get into the residence, police reports said.

Two iPads and $3,000 worth of jewelry were reported stolen from a residence in the 5400 block Limestone Ridge Drive between 5:45 and 10:05 p.m. Jan. 11.

A window at the back of the house was broken and pried off to get inside, police reports said.

During the burglary the door of a locked gun safe was damaged when suspects tried to pry it off.

A garage at a residence in the 5400 block of Briardale Lane was broken into and a battery charger, hand tools, bicycle, air compressor and other items were reported stolen between 12:30 and 9:45 a.m. Jan. 12.

A resident of the 4500 block of Wuertz Court reported a burglary when she returned home and found two doors open between 6 and 9:43 p.m. Jan. 11.

According to police reports, the resident went to a neighbor's home to call police because she was unsure if anyone was still inside.

The owner of a car parked in the 4700 block of McGreevy Court reported eggs were thrown onto the vehicle between 6:30 and 11:30 p.m. Jan. 12.

The owner reported damage to the paint of the car.

A propane tank and propane torch were reported stolen from the garage of the residence in the 7400 block of Riverside Drive between 1:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 9.

Jewelry, valued at $10,000, two iPhones, a laptop, $3,860 and other items were reported stolen from a residence in the 6000 block of Perimeter Lakes Drive between 1:25 and 2:40 p.m. Jan. 17. The resident reported the door was not locked because she had lost the key.

Shoplifting was reported at a business in the 6200 block of Sawmill Road between 7:42 and 7:51 p.m. Jan. 11.

A loss prevention officer at the business said he saw a male and female enter the store, go to the jackets area and remove two security devices from a jacket.
