Business' employees help police sniff out scent stealers

Dublin police reported arresting suspects in the theft of body scents from a business in the 7000 block of Perimeter Loop Road between 11:07 and 11:15 a.m. Feb. 18.

Police received a report that four containers of body scents were stolen from the business.

Employees at the business were able to provide officers with a description of the suspects and their vehicle and police stopped the vehicle and apprehended the suspects.

A business in the 6000 block of Frantz Road reported the theft of old company checks between January 2010 and Feb. 14, 2013.

Reports said on Feb. 14 a man went to the business to cash the check.

The reporting party told police they suspect an employee took the checks and has been passing them.

A neon sign, valued at $6,000, and chandelier, valued at $1,200, were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Waterford Drive between 10 p.m. Feb. 15 and 10 a.m. Feb. 16.

A man reported aggravated menacing at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 near U.S. Route 33 and Avery Road after a man in another vehicle pointed a gun at him while driving.

Four body scents were reported stolen from a business in the 7000 block of Perimeter Loop Road between 11:07 and 11:15 a.m. Feb. 18.

The business gave police a description of the suspects and their vehicles and police stopped the vehicle.

A business in the 6200 block of Emerald Parkway reported the theft of $5,000 over the past year. According to police reports, the business suspected an employee was stealing customer payments and has taken more than $5,000 since late 2011.

A bag, oxygen tank, bracelets and clothing was reported stolen from a trailer parked at a business in the 400 block of Metro Place North between 7 p.m. Feb. 19 and 8:20 a.m. Feb. 20.
