The Dublin Board of Education is expected to approve Todd Hoadley as the new superintendent March 11.
The district began searching for a new superintendent with the help of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio after David Axner announced he would leave this year for a position with the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators.
The position drew 14 applicants and the board interviewed six before narrowing the field down to Hoadley and Dublin Deputy Superintendent Michael Trego.
Hoadley has been a superintendent for 15 year and has been at Olmsted Falls City Schools for nine.
“Dr. Hoadley has a strong track record of possessing excellent managerial skills while being committed to ensuring students receive a world class education,” said Chris Valentine, board of education president. “The Board of Education feels Dr. Hoadley will bring key leadership skills to our district that will continue to further the reputation of Dublin City Schools as being one of Ohio’s best districts.”
