An author and formerly feral cat will visit central Ohio April 6 for a Colony Cats (and Dogs) fundraiser.

Cathy Unruh, author of Taming Me: Memoir of a Clever Island Cat, will visit Colony Cats Kit & Kaboodle Boutique, 2736 Festival Lane, with the formerly feral cat, Lucy Miracle, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6.

The author and cat will be on hand to talk and sign books.

A fundraising dinner at Camelot Cellars in the Short North will also feature the author and cat from 6 to 8 p.m. April 6.

The dinner is $65 and includes food, wine, an autographed book and chance to meet the Unruh and Lucy Miracle.

Proceeds will benefit Colony Cats (and Dogs).

Colony Cats (and Dogs) was founded in 2002 and works to reduce the cat population with spay/neuter efforts and rescues cats and dogs. The nonprofit organization opened an adoption center in the Fiesta Center of Sawmill Road in 2009.
